Music of my Heart
We all have things that we are passionate about and that bring us smiles. Whether it be our family, our hobbies, our jobs, etc. There is one passion of mine that makes me filled with joy no matter what kind of day I may be having. It is a passion of mine that truly brings God’s presence near to me and reminds me He is with me no matter what!
The song “Old Church Choir” by Zach Williams describes my passion so well. It is my passion for Christian music! I know I have mentioned this before, but it is this music that has got me through sooooo much in my life! It is this music that God spoke to me through during very difficult times and kept me on my feet and strong. It is this music that makes my drives to work each morning peaceful and start my day with God in my heart. It is these songs that make my evenings calm and feel close to God. It is these songs that I look forward to singing with my boys each day. Just like in the video the Mom singing with her boy in the car relates to Easton and I so much... or the Dad dancing and praising God together through song. It is such a beautiful feeling to sing and praise God with your children. Asher loves listening too, as the songs always bring a smile to his face. It is these songs that I can share with my students at school, and worshipping God together during Religion is indescribable. Seeing their faces light up, seeing them dance to the songs, and seeing them sing to God above is truly inspirational!
When you watch this video.. the people in it are filled with so much joy. It is singing and praising God that brightens their hearts and makes their everyday full of joy no matter what. As the song says.. “there ain’t nothing going to steal my joy!” I challenge you this week to listen to KLove or a Christian song each day... and feel the true joy it brings you!
